Stephen J. Comber to Lead SAIC Health Solutions Business Unit

MCLEAN, Va., Oct. 6 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Science Applications International Corporation (SAIC) (NYSE: SAI) announced today that Stephen J. Comber has been appointed business unit (BU) general manager of SAIC's Health Solutions BU (HSBU) effective Oct. 1.  Comber will be responsible for developing, managing and growing SAIC's work for federal government and commercial customers, including the Departments of Defense, Health and Human Services and Veterans Affairs.  A long-time SAIC executive, Comber has served as the BU's deputy general manager since 2007.  

SAIC's HSBU provides a wide range of services and solutions in the areas of clinical health information technology (IT), health infrastructure, healthcare quality and cost, public health, and health sciences.  The BU has more than 1,900 employees in 41 states and 11 countries around the world.  

Since joining SAIC in 1985, Comber has served in a variety of executive positions, including contract, business operations and project management roles.  He is a recognized member of the federal health community, and has a demonstrated record of success in managing complex projects for SAIC customers.  Comber will report to Joe Craver, president of SAIC's Infrastructure, Energy, Health and Product Solutions Group.
