Stewart Rahr $3 Million Donation To Prostate Cancer Foundation
NEW YORK, Aug. 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Gregarious, generous Billionaire Stewart Rahr stunned the crowd this weekend at the Hamptons gathering hosted by Michael Milken for the Prostate Cancer Foundation. Mr. Rahr donated $3 Million to Milken's initiative for research towards finding a cure for prostate cancer.
Other guests at the event included John Paulson, David Koch, Steven Schwartzman, Richard & Carol Lefrak, Larry Gagosian, Eddie Trump, and former New York Governor David Patterson. The event featured a Hall & Oates performance.
Stewart Rahr is listed as #298 on the Forbes 400 according to Forbes Magazine. Rahr sold his pharmaceutical distribution company for $1.3 billion, and put aside $100 million to establish the Rahr Foundation with which he donates to many charitable causes.
