SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Stitch, a mobile-first anticipatory platform, announced that four of the company's engineers were awarded the grand prize for the Salesforce $1M hackathon at Dreamforce 2014. Stitch's head of engineering, Andreas Sandberg, and three of Stitch's core engineers, Yuk Lai Suen, Ivan Erceg and Sanjay Mahalingam, presented to an esteemed panel of judges as well as the audience of conference attendees. In addition, the Stitch team won first prize in the Force.com and Heroku category. Winnings total $250K in cash prizes.

Simple, elegant design of mobile iOS 8 keyboard allows salespeople to access any Salesforce data from any app on their mobile device
"Simplicity is the ultimate sophistication. We took that to heart. We created a simple, yet powerful 'omnikeyboard' with a deep integration to Salesforce," said Sandberg. "Our omnikeyboard allows you to access any of your Salesforce data from any app on your mobile device at anytime, literally at the touch of your fingertips. When we say any app, we mean any app -- from SMS, maps, email, Snapchat, Tinder -- any app you can think of."
With omnikeyboard, users can search for an account in Salesforce from the keyboard directly -- this allows users to access Salesforce data from the mobile app that they are using without having to disrupt flow and open the Saleforce1 mobile app to access the same data.
By entering the '@' sign and account name into the keyboard, users search across leads, accounts, contacts, opportunities and all other objects in Salesforce. Results are presented within the keyboard. Once the record is selected, users go directly into a detailed view and can see all fields, including custom fields.
Omnikeyboard hotkeys -- symbols that are similar to hashtags used when tweeting -- allow salespeople to take shortcuts when performing common tasks
The omnikeyboard hotkeys allow salespeople to take shortcuts when performing common tasks such as sending emails. Entering "#t" in the keyboard retrieves templates from Salesforce. When users receive a text message, they can enter "+C" to broadcast that message via Chatter. And the omnikeyboard is also integrated with Twitter. Entering "T" allows you to send that same message to the user's Twitter followers.
