StockCall Study on Hanesbrands, Quiksilver, PVH Corp., and Ralph Lauren

LONDON, March 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ --

The most recent holiday season turned out to be disappointing for retailers as consumers remained cautious amid uncertainty over the fiscal cliff issue. The fiscal cliff deal was reached at the start of this year. While the deal saw the expiration of payroll tax cuts, consumer spending has been rather resilient. The main driver for consumer spending has been improving labor market. With labor market continuing to improve, apparel companies such as Hanesbrands Inc. (NYSE: HBI), Quiksilver Inc. (NYSE: ZQK), PVH Corp. (NYSE: PVH), and Ralph Lauren Corp. (NYSE: RL) can expect a robust year ahead. On Tuesday, however, apparel stocks struggled as the broad market remained under pressure due to ongoing worries over Cyprus's bailout.
