SUWANEE, Ga., May 30, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Danish TV and Internet service provider Stofa has selected ARRIS International, plc (NASDAQ: ARRS) to transform its cable broadband network to deliver gigabit broadband speeds and new, enhanced services including future Ultra HD TV channels, streaming and digital services.

The strategic collaboration between Stofa and ARRIS centers on a full technology migration across all Stofa's sites in Denmark. ARRIS is delivering a new headend-to-home network solution - leveraging ARRIS's industry-leading DOCSIS® 3.1 technology and distributed architecture to increase network capacity, achieve operational efficiencies, and deliver faster speeds and next-generation services to subscribers.

The solution takes advantage of the latest hardware innovations to provide high-performance edge computing along with advanced analytics technologies, including:

The latest generation of ARRIS's award-winning E6000® Converged Edge Router and the ARRIS NC2000 nodes with RemotePHY (R-PHY) module to support DOCSIS 3.1.
Performance Management and Alarm Central from ARRIS's ServAssure® suite, will enable Stofa to monitor the health of its network in real time, optimize performance, and quickly resolve outages and prevent them from happening in the first place.

The new network has been designed with a R-PHY- based distributed architecture, enabling Stofa to provide much greater network capacity while reducing network complexity resulting in both operational and capital expenditure benefits.
