Stony Brook University Athletics Selects Veritix® as Exclusive Ticketing Provider
Veritix's proven ticketing technology will provide primary, secondary and digital ticketing services for Stony Brook University Athletics Events
CLEVELAND, Sept. 4, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Veritix®, the leading innovator in digital ticketing, event marketing and relationship management applications, today announced that it has entered into a multi-year agreement with Stony Brook University to be its exclusive primary and secondary ticketing provider. Veritix will support all university athletic events at Kenneth P. Lavalle Stadium, Pritchard Gymnasium, the new Stony Brook Arena (coming Fall 2014), and other select athletic facilities. Flash Seats®, the patented Veritix digital ticketing system, will be available as a digital entry method for fans and as a secondary marketplace for tickets.
Stony Brook University, a member of the America East and CAA Football conferences, selected the Veritix system because it was looking for a ticketing and business platform to more effectively manage its ticketing operations. Set to move into the $21.1 million renovated Stony Brook Arena in 2014, the Athletics Department sought a dynamic ticketing and business platform that would cater to Seawolves students, fans and alumni. Veritix's fan relationship solutions were the key factor in Stony Brook's decision to partner with Veritix.
"We believe the Veritix ticketing and business platform will provide our fans with a flexible and convenient ticketing experience," said Stony Brook Director of Athletics Jim Fiore. "Their innovative revenue generating initiatives and fan relationship tools will assist our athletics department in tracking and managing information about our alumni and community members, two critically important components of our growing fan base."
For Veritix, Stony Brook University is another important collegiate partner in a growing list of colleges and universities using the Veritix system. "We are so excited to partner with a respected institution like Stony Brook University," said Guy Villa, Vice President of Sales for Veritix. "We look forward to providing the best college ticketing and business platform in the industry and working closely with Stony Brook University in the coming years."
