Storage Post's New Orleans facilities are collecting food donations throughout December

ATLANTA, Dec. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Storage Post Self Storage has joined with Second Harvest Food Bank to collect much-needed food for at-risk families and individuals in south Louisiana. Every Storage Post New Orleans storage facility is an official collection site for food donations, which will be collected from December 1, 2011 to December 31, 2011.

Customers and members of the community are encouraged to donate non-perishable boxed, canned or bagged food items. One in eight people in Louisiana is struggling with hunger, with almost 74 percent of the Greater New Orleans area living at or below the poverty line.  

Second Harvest Food Bank's goal is to end hunger in south Louisiana and feed thousands of families and individuals who need basic nutrition. To assist the cause, Storage Post is collecting food at each of its four convenient New Orleans locations.
