Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP) Expands Product, Launches Hospice Scorecard Suite to Help Improve Quality of Care

SANTA BARBARA, Calif., June 27, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Strategic Healthcare Programs (SHP), a leading provider of data analytics and benchmarking to post-acute care providers, is releasing a new first-in-class comprehensive Hospice Scorecard Report suite. As hospice providers and their referral sources continue their focus on quality and with the upcoming public reporting of hospice scores, the need for real-time data increases. SHP's Scorecard suite will enhance hospice customers' capability to measure, manage and report on quality metrics.

SHP's state and national benchmark comparisons give customers a tool that quickly identifies areas for improvement so they can focus their efforts. The Scorecard suite will enhance this capability by allowing hospices to review their metrics by case manager, team, referral source, primary payer, primary diagnosis, and many other parameters. Additionally, SHP has developed a proprietary Overall Score, a composite measure that makes it even easier for hospices to gauge overall performance with one metric that rolls up critical measures such as HQRP admissions measures, CAHPS Hospice domain scores, and more into a single performance score.

SHP pioneered clinician scorecards a decade ago for their home health clients. With this new suite, the company expands this valuable tool to hospices to further support their focus on performance insights.
