BOSTON, Feb. 4, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- According to the latest research from Strategy Analytics, Global Tablet shipments reached 227 million units in 2013, meaning the Tablet platform out-shipped the Mobile PC for the first time ever.
In the latest research from Strategy Analytics Tablet & Touchscreen Strategies (TTS) service, global Tablet sales reached 227 million units in 2013(1). Strategy Analytics estimates global Mobile PC shipments reached 182 million (2) for the same period, meaning that in 2013 the Tablet platform overtook the Mobile PC in global shipment volume.
