NEW YORK, Aug. 19, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Gus Maimis, LEED® AP BD+C, was promoted to senior vice president of STV. A project executive who joined STV in 2008 to support the construction of the National September 11 Memorial & Museum in Lower Manhattan on behalf of the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Maimis will now serve as Northeast territory manager for the firm's Construction Management Division, overseeing its New York tri-state project teams.
Maimis has more than 30 years of experience in the construction industry and is currently providing executive oversight for a variety of renovation and building projects for Columbia University. Prior to joining STV, Maimis was the principal of his own construction management firm and led projects throughout the New York metropolitan region.
A LEED® accredited professional in Building Design + Construction, Maimis earned a Master of Business Administration degree from Cornell University, and a B.S. in civil engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of N.Y. He serves on the board of directors of the Greater New York Construction Users Council.
Maimis has taught construction management courses at New York University (NYU) and is an adjunct professor at the NYU Schack Institute of Real Estate and Pratt Institute.
