STW Resources Holding Corp. Creates Advisory Board to Assist With Projects in Pennsylvania's Marcellus Shale and Other Activities
Stephen Schachman, D. Grant Seabolt, Jr., and Z. Hunter Hill Join Advisory Board
MIDLAND, Texas, June 7 /PRNewswire/ -- STW Resources Holding Corp. ("STW Resources"), a water reclamation company, which expects to be publicly traded soon, said it has formed a corporate Advisory Board to assist the company's activities in Pennsylvania's Marcellus Shale and developments in other regions.
Stanley Weiner, chief executive officer of STW Resources, said new board members Stephen Schachman, D. Grant Seabolt, Jr. and Z. Hunter Hill will actively participate in business development, assessment of waste water reclamation technologies, lobbying and water reclamation legal issues.
He said, "Schachman and Hill know the Marcellus Shale and they have first-hand knowledge of the region's opportunities and legal, political and technical issues. They will be critical components in our campaign to help gas explorers to resolve their contaminated water issues. And Grant Seabolt will keep us current on the legal issues relating to water reclamation."
Schachman, managing director of Duane Morris Government Affairs, Philadelphia, is a lawyer who has been an active lobbyist in the State of Pennsylvania for many years. He also has an extensive background in senior management of highly regulated industries. A former president and CEO of the Philadelphia Gas Works, the nation's largest municipally owned utility, he chaired the Pennsylvania Gas Association and was a director of the American Gas Association.
Seabolt is senior counsel with the Dallas law firm of Underwood, Perkins & Ralston, PC. He has more than 25 years of business law and mergers & acquisitions experience, starting as an attorney with Dow Chemical Co. in 1986. Seabolt served as a Judge Advocate for the U.S. Marines where he concentrated in international law, later retiring as a Colonel from Marine Corps Reserve. Currently, he focuses on advising small and medium-size businesses and entrepreneurs.
Hill started an oil and gas investment company that focused on buying oil and gas royalty interests and participating in oil and gas drilling deals. Since 2004, he has served as president of Hill Energy Co., which was founded by his late grandfather John D. Hill. In January 2008, Hill was among the principals that started Little Pine Resources to take advantage of oil and gas opportunities in the Marcellus Shale. He is acting CFO of Little Pine and also in charge of government relations, business development and water resource management. Hill has worked extensively in the Marcellus Shale in all aspects of gas exploration, including water management. He has also given presentations to organizations and universities around Clearfield, PA, about the business opportunities available in the Marcellus Shale.
According to Weiner, the Advisory Board is a critical component of STW Resources' business strategy to capitalize on the water reclamation opportunities in Pennsylvania's Marcellus Shale. In addition to the formation of the advisory board, the company, which has recently applied to go public and is awaiting the designation of its trading symbol, executed a term sheet to obtain $5 million in funding from Kodiak Capital Group, LLC.
The members of the STW Advisory Board will reinforce and complement the skills of the STW Resources board of directors. They include: Joseph I. O'Neill III, who has nearly forty years of experience in the oil and gas industry. Currently he is managing partner of O'Neill Properties, a Midland, TX, oil and gas producer. He is chairman of the board of Texas Oil & Gas Association and is a director of the Petroleum Club of Midland; and the Honorable Bill Carter, who was a distinguished Member of the Texas House of Representatives from 1984 to 2003. During his service In the Texas House, he chaired both the Texas Public Safety Committee and the Urban Affairs Committee.
"STW Resources is nearing its goal to become the leading public water reclamation company addressing the contaminated water issues in the Marcellus Shale and other areas in the US and abroad," said Weiner.
