STW Resources Signs Joint Development Agreement with ThermoEnergy for Water Reclamation in the Oil & Gas Industry STW will Arrange Pilot Test Programs of ThermoEnergy's Proprietary TurboFrac® and FracGen® Water Recovery Systems
MIDLAND, Texas, Sept. 12, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- STW Resources Holding Corp. (OTC QB: STWS) announced today it has signed a joint development agreement with ThermoEnergy Corporation (OTCBB:TMEN) to develop opportunities to deploy water reclamation equipment in the oil and gas industry. STW will arrange for exclusive pilot test programs with appropriate producers in its area of operations.
ThermoEnergy's TurboFrac™ technology is a cost effective solution to recover hydrofracking wastewater (contaminated produced water and flow-back water) created by the hydraulic fracturing ("fracking") of oil and gas wells, and recycle it into clean, usable water. In addition to recovering usable water for reuse in fracking operations, the TurboFrac system can concentrate the chemicals and other impurities for recycling or safe, cost-efficient disposal. ThermoEnergy's FracGen™ systems provide an economical and effective solution to upgrade brine laden water that is available in local, deep aquifers.
STW Chief Executive Officer Stanley Weiner said, "I am very pleased to be associated with ThermoEnergy as their technology offers an economical avenue to reclaim produced and flowback waters for reuse in drilling and fracking operations. We have tested many technologies. After thoroughly testing and evaluating ThermoEnergy technology, we found the one with the ability to perform the most economical processing solution for reclamation activities for the various levels of contaminated waters that we encounter in the oil patch."
"With over 85 Cast systems operating worldwide in various other industries, the technology has withstood the endurance challenge of harsh water in harsh conditions," said Lee Maddox, STW Chief Operating Officer.
Maddox added, "STW has worked with TEC to demonstrate the efficacy of their technology for all Oil and Gas Producers to meet the most stringent of water quality specifications by the operators and regulatory agencies."
STW Resources Holdings Corp. consults and provides customized water analysis, reclamation and remediation services to a variety of complex industrial and municipal applications throughout several geographic locations. As an independent solutions provider, STW utilizes proven technologies from various well-known manufacturers. These technologies are available as fixed or mobile units with varying capabilities. STW's process ensures that the most effective and efficient technologies are implemented. Current potential project locations include the Eagle Ford Shale (TX), and the West Texas Delaware and Permian Basins (TX). STW is also involved in the oilfield construction business providing road, pit, location, and water pond construction. It also offers evaporation covers for the elimination of evaporation on frac ponds used through out the oilfield. It is a conservational and economic method of preserving one of our natural resources and can be floated on to existing ponds or installed during construction. It also eliminates algae growth, doubles as a bird net, and reduces erosion of pond infrastructure. High quality liners with fusion-welded seams, quality control testing including air tests of seams and destruction testing are also offered.
