Rocky Hills Retreat - the Craig Rosevear-designed elegantly, simple space - was created by the multi award-winning team behind the Avalon Coastal Retreat.

Torossi and Rosevear combined to bring Tasmania Avalon Coastal Retreat, which only last week won the Qantas Australian Tourism Award for Deluxe Accommodation.

Brett said the Retreat provides a safe platform from which to engage with nature.

"You can watch the weather roll in, the wind bend the trees, the sun dancing on the sea, the birds going about their business as though no one is there.

Rocky Hills Retreat features a beautiful craftsman-built Huon Pine bath tub on its evening deck.

The retreat has a fully equipped kitchen, luxurious king size bed, sumptuous orange couches and an extensive library of books and DVD's. Rocky Hills Retreat is powered by the sun, utilizing a hybrid solar system.

If guests are feeling inspired they can wander to the Rocky Hills Retreat Art Studio and become lost in drawing, painting, sketching, knitting, reading or just sitting by the fire, everything is there for guests to use. The Retreat is $A400 p/n Sunday to Thursday and $A500 p/n for Friday and Saturday. The tariff includes full gourmet breakfast provisions and a glass of Louis Roederer champagne enjoyed from the Waterford Crystal flutes.
