Health information on the go with iTriage® smartphone app

AKRON, Ohio, July 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Summa Health System today announced a new collaboration with Healthagen® to provide valuable health information with the free iTriage® smartphone application. Through iTriage, mobile consumers have access to Summa's door-to-doctor emergency room wait times, hospital locations, urgent care centers, physician specialties and health information.

Emergency room wait times are updated every 10 minutes for Summa Akron City Hospital, Summa St. Thomas Hospital and Summa Western Reserve Hospital, as well as Summa-affiliate Robinson Memorial Hospital. Wait times are defined as the time elapsed from when a patient walks through the emergency room door to when he or she is seen by a doctor. Wait times for Summa Wadsworth-Rittman and Summa Barberton Hospitals will be available in the near future.

iTriage users also can search for health information by symptom, disease, procedure or provider. For example, a person having abdominal pain can research that symptom for more information, specifically look up appendicitis or learn about an appendectomy. iTriage will provide a list of recommended physicians in the area for the procedure or disease. The application can be easily downloaded for all iPhone®, Android™ and Blackberry® users at www.SummaHealth.org/iTriage or viewed online at www.iTriageHealth.com.
