GAZA CITY, Gaza Strip, Nov. 19, 2012 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The office of RT channel in Gaza, located in al-Shawa media center, was destroyed after Israeli air strike early Sunday. Miraculously, production team was not injured.
The office of RT's Arabic-language sister channel — Rusiya Al-Yaum — was struck by the Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip in the early hours of Sunday, November 18, approximately at 01:30 am local time. RT's reporter Suaeda al-Suerki and cameraman Mustafa Al-Bayati were not injured as they had left the building just one hour before the attack. The channel's media center was located on the top level of the 11-floor building among other media offices, including Sky News, ITV and Palestinian news agencies. In total, the Israeli side launched four missiles one of which hit the RT office. Maan, Palestinian news agency, reports that six journalists were injured in this strike.
At the moment, the RT team is carrying on with its work on the 5th floor of the building, where Maan sits.
