Sunstone Hotel Investors Announces the Exercise of the Underwriter's Option to Purchase Additional Shares
ALISO VIEJO, Calif., June 21, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Sunstone Hotel Investors, Inc. (the "Company" or "Sunstone") (NYSE: SHO) announced today that the underwriter of its public offering of 11,000,000 shares of common stock has exercised its option to purchase an additional 1,143,273 shares of common stock from the Company. No additional shares will be issued pursuant to the underwriter's option. Subject to customary closing conditions, the closing for the additional shares is expected to occur on or about June 25, 2012.
After deducting the underwriting discount and offering expenses, the Company will have received total net proceeds of approximately $126.5 million from the sale of its 12,143,273 shares of common stock, including the purchase of additional shares by the underwriter.
