Super-Pharm To Boost Energy Efficiency
Israel's Leading Drug-Store Chain Selects Panoramic Power to Supply Device-Level Energy Measurement and Monitoring
NEW YORK, July 16, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Super-Pharm, Israel's leading drugstore chain with more than 180 locations, has selected Panoramic Power (Panoramic, www.panpwr.com), the developer of an innovative Energy Management System (EMS) that enables enterprises to reduce their operational and energy expenses, to deploy its P3E energy management system in seven of its locations.
Panoramic Power's P3E platform, which combines wireless, self-powered sensor technology with a cloud-based (SAAS) analytic platform, provides Super-Pharm with the ability to measure the amount of energy individual devices and systems consume at each store location where the platform is deployed. Actionable data on the energy consumption of HVAC, lighting and other systems and devices is delivered through real-time alerts and supported with robust device-level reports.
Super-Pharm tested the P3E platform for seven months, and during that short period of time was able to identify inefficiencies in its property's energy consumption and potential equipment failures, due to inconsistencies in the way certain equipment was consuming energy.
"We are very surprised at the amount of data that we could 'act on' to make measurable changes at our facilities from an energy, operations and maintenance perspective that has had an impact on our bottom line," said Oren Halfron, Buildings and Assets Manager, Super-Pharm. "Today we have installed the solution in seven stores and are exploring the option of adding more stores over time. The data will enable us to compare the performance of specific systems and equipment between locations to ensure that our equipment is working optimally and efficiently."
"Panoramic Power is able to provide Super-Pharm with a degree of data about the energy consumption at each of its properties that was never available before," said Adi Shamir, Chief Executive Officer of Panoramic Power. "The technology not only provides the necessary measurement and verification to make decisions about retrofits and equipment replacements, it also can help to detect failures in devices before they occur through real-time alerts that track if a piece of equipment changes its pattern of energy consumption."
The Panoramic P3E platform is the first ever non-intrusive, scalable energy management solution at the asset level. It generates alerts and reports on a real-time basis, providing a deep look into how efficiently energy is being consumed at the granular level. Panoramic's patent-pending, self-powered wireless sensors can be installed on hundreds of circuits in a matter of hours. Once installed, the sensors never require maintenance, service or battery replacement. Customers can access data and analytics through the platform's dashboard, set up alerts as well as automatically receive reports.
