Surevest Expands Advisor Platform Capabilities with New Tech Hire

PHOENIX, Nov. 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Following the recent launch of an advisor partnership platform, Surevest Wealth Management ("Surevest")—previously SureVest Capital Management—today announces the strategic hire of Chief Technology Officer Clay Darland.

With over 15 years of technology-related experience, Darland is a valuable addition to the Surevest team. His hire supports the continued efforts behind the firm's new platform, which allows for advisors nationwide to partner with Surevest and receive support with specific services that have the greatest impact on the growth and quality of an advisory firm—technology being one aspect.

In his role, Darland assists in the development of the Surevest Advisor Desktop, a company intranet that enables Surevest advisors to share files and exchange encrypted email with the home office and clients quickly and securely, and additionally allows them to work from anywhere on remote devices. Darland also works on the creation and execution of Surevest's secure client portal, where clients can find all of their statements, performance reports, tax information and financial planning documents.

Darland's most recent role as a lead network engineer and developer for a local technology services firm gives him the expertise needed to elevate Surevest's technology platform. In addition, he holds the Microsoft MCITP-SA, Cisco CCNA, Red Hat RHCSA and CompTIA A+, Network + Security + and several other vendor neutral certifications.
