SweetFlower Cannabis Brand Expands Its Senior Leadership Team

CULVER CITY, Calif., March 18, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- SweetFlower, a cannabis lifestyle brand committed to modernizing the retail customer experience, has announced the addition of Lauren Carpenter as Chief Strategy Officer to SweetFlower's growing executive team. Ms. Carpenter most recently served as Director of Government Affairs for Western States for MedMen, and at SweetFlower is responsible for creating and executing corporate strategic initiatives across community, regulatory, political and business endeavors as the company embarks on its  dynamic growth strategy.

Lauren joins SweetFlower to help guide its rapid expansion. The company will open its first two licensed cannabis retail boutiques next month: SweetFlower Studio City, rebranding and refurbishing one of Los Angeles' most established legal cannabis dispensaries; and SweetFlower Melrose, located in one of the city's most popular retail and dining neighborhoods across the street from landmarks The Improv comedy club and Fred Segal retail store. SweetFlower will announce additional store locations in greater Los Angeles over the coming months.

Ms. Carpenter has a strong background in public affairs and public policy. In her roles with MedMen, where she started as California Political Director before assuming responsibility for Western States, she was responsible for developing and implementing political, policy and community benefits strategies, maintaining strong relationships with elected officials, regulators and industry influencers. Prior, she was with Wilson Public Affairs, where she managed policy, public affairs and government relations campaigns for trade associations and Fortune 500 companies. Ms. Carpenter began her career working on numerous legislative and ballot initiatives across California.
