FOREST HILL, Md., March 7, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Synthetic Turf Council (STC), the world's largest organization representing the synthetic turf industry, will hold its 2017 Spring Membership Meeting from March 13-15 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The meeting offers technical programming for members who work with synthetic turf for sports field and landscape applications and is expected to attract over 230 industry leaders, including manufacturers, suppliers, installers, landscape architects and engineers, testing labs, and maintenance equipment and service companies.
On Tuesday, March 14, attendees will hear updates from international sports governing bodies, including the International Federation of Association Football (FIFA), International Hockey Federation (FIH), and World Rugby. Additionally, Chris Nowinski, Co-Founder and CEO of the Concussion Legacy Foundation, will deliver a keynote presentation on player safety, concussions and their effect on the brain.
The event also includes an Exhibitor Showcase with tabletop displays of the latest products, services, and advancements from the synthetic turf industry. The Exhibitor Showcase will be held on Tuesday, March 14 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Registration is open to the public.
On Wednesday, March 15, a consumer panel for landscape synthetic grass will include representatives from a local resort hotel and the Southern Nevada Water Authority, which is providing financial incentives to residents to save water by replacing their grass lawn with synthetic turf or other hardscape material.
Concurrent technical sessions throughout the conference will provide attendees with technical information on industry related topics, such as bio-based and natural infills, water conservation, irrigation systems, yarn and fiber technology, and much more.
