Taiwan Green Trade Project Office Spotlights the Cutting Edge in Green Solutions, Designed to International Environmental Standards
TAIWAN, March 3, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- In recent years, countries all around the world have tried to make going green a goal to elevate competitiveness, and to raise soft power in green through participating in international exhibitions with magnificent designs. However, decoration and packaging in an exhibition can leave a sizable footprint on the planet. Taiwan's green trade project office recently introduced "Taiwan Green Products Demo House," which is essentially an environmentally friendly, reusable exhibition show booth with all its state-of-the-art materials certified by international and domestic green standards. The demo house, built entirely with green materials, is flexible in assembling and disassembling like Lego bricks. In addition, it cuts waste without sacrificing style.

Taiwan Green Products Demo House embodies some of Taiwan's best green ideas and products. All materials and items used, including the flooring, display window, energy-saving devices, and intelligent control systems, are manufactured in Taiwan. For example, the LED dimmer can be operated by a smart phone or computer. By simply swiping the key card, this smart interactive device is able to control the door, the lighting, the air conditioner, the gas valve, many other electronic appliances, and even the air quality.
"Some manufacturers might feel that adopting environmental practices or integrating environmental compliance into product development is costly. But an increasing number of Taiwanese companies have come to realize that such investment is profitable, can create new opportunities, and drive competitiveness," says GTPO deputy director Lih-Chyi Wen. "Taiwan is well positioned to engage in green trade as it has developed related technologies, products and services to an international standard."
With the Taiwan Green Products Demo House, exhibitors can now gain big savings on exhibition costs and also participate in worldwide exhibitions in a much more environmentally friendly way. After 2 years of participation and preparation, GTPO presents Taiwan Green Products Demo House at Ecobuild 2014, March 4-6, in London Excel. For this exhibition, GTPO incorporates 14 Taiwanese companies displaying a comprehensive range of products to promote a greener, smarter, and healthier living experience. In the years to come, GTPO also plans to feature various themes for different markets and exhibitions.
In addition to presenting quality green products to the world, GTPO highlights one of its main missions of becoming "Your one stop link to Taiwan's green products and services." GTPO helps introduce best quality and pricing through excusive relationships with top manufacturers in Taiwan. Since 2010, the office has been conducting ongoing and extensive benchmarking to select high-end, competitive suppliers for its portfolio. The online products guild, Taiwan Eco Products Directory, features over 400 green products, all with international or domestic green certificates. Taiwan has a strong background in manufacturing and information technology. Flexibility, economy, and quality are also outstanding features of Taiwanese companies.
