Take a Bite out of Thanksgiving! 'Good Gobbles' Meatball Recipe Contest
Submit Recipes Using Mama Lucia Meatballs by November 1, 2013
READING, Pa., Sept. 16, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Let's face it: when cooking for a holiday crowd, we all need a few shortcuts, right? Frozen meatballs can slash hors d'oeuvres prep time in half, so Quaker Maid Meats is sponsoring the Mama Lucia 'Good Gobbles' Holiday Meatball Recipe Contest to give turkey day cooks a little relief. Simply submit your original recipe by November 1 – and share your meatball masterpiece with the world!
Each recipe must use Mama Lucia Meatballs, frozen heat-and-serve bites that come fully cooked, can be used whole or sliced, and can go directly from freezer to stove with no defrosting. Any Mama Lucia variety can be used, whether beef, turkey, homestyle or Italian style.
First-place prize is a Crock-Pot 3-Quart SCR300SS Slow Cooker, a classic kitchen companion that holds enough food (including meatballs!) to serve a family of four. Second-place prize is a Crock-Pot 1.5-Quart SCR-151 Slow Cooker, ideal for singles or couples. Third-place prize is a Crock-Pot Lunch Crock SCCPLC200 Food Warmer, a portable lunch tote/food warmer combo for easy office meals. Entries will be judged on creativity, suitability for holiday entertaining, and eye and taste appeal.
The contest runs from September 15 through November 1, 2013. All entries must include the name, address, email address (if available) and telephone of the entrant as well as the recipe, and be time-stamped or postmarked no later than November 1. Recipes can be submitted to [email protected] with the subject line 'Good Gobbles Holiday Meatball Recipe Contest' or mailed to the attention of:
