TASC Assures Successful Launch of Juno Vehicle for U.S. Army Patriot Defense Test
Mission risk assessments and independent verification and validation among TASC services utilized for mission
WHITE SANDS MISSILE RANGE, N.M., Oct. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- TASC provided highly specialized technical services for the successful September 13 launch of the U.S. Space and Missile Systems Center Juno launch vehicle. The launch was in support of a U.S. Army Patriot Defense System test.

The TASC team provided mission assurance support to the Juno target design, integration test and launch. In addition, TASC engineers coordinated and oversaw the refurbishment of Minuteman II motors for use on the Juno vehicle. Other TASC specialists provided independent validation and verification of Juno flight software as well as mission risk assessments to the Space and Missile Systems Center (SMC) and flight-readiness review to the SMC Commander. With the flight now complete, TASC will deliver an independent post-flight analysis.
