Kersten is the CEO of Tasktop technologies and creator of products that have been transforming application development and lifecycle management tools, including Eclipse Mylyn, Tasktop Dev, Tasktop Sync, and partner products including SpringSource Tool Suite (STS) and Code2Cloud.  He also is involved in open source community and standards efforts, and serves as a member of the Eclipse Foundation Board of Directors and the Open Services for Lifecycle (OSLC) Steering Committee.
