Tavistock Restaurants Toasts California Wine Month With Wine Centric Events and Special Offers on California Wines Throughout September
SAN FRANCISCO, Sept. 7, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- During September 2011, Tavistock Restaurants celebrates California Wine Month in official partnership with the Wine Institute. For the second year in a row, participating restaurants including Blackhawk Grille (Danville, Calif.), CAFE del REY (Marina del Rey, Calif.), California Cafe (Los Gatos and Palo Alto, Calif.; Lone Tree, Colo.), Napa Valley Grille (Los Angeles, Calif.; Bloomington, Minn.; Paramus, N.J.) and ZED451 (Chicago) will hold a Wine "Tag" Sale throughout the month of September, offering bottles of signature California wines at a special value for guests dining at the restaurants. Featured selections will be offered at up to 35% below retail. For example, at California Cafe in Los Gatos, a bottle of Joel Gott Chardonnay will be priced at $24 per bottle (regularly $35), and at Napa Valley Grille in Los Angeles a bottle of Paraduxx Red Blend will be $86 (regularly $115).
In addition, select restaurants will offer California wine-centric events throughout September:
- Blackhawk Grille hosts Sparkling Sundays each Sunday from 11am until 5pm, offering bottles of Chandon sparkling wine at half price.
- During Summer Sangria Days at CAFE del REY, every Friday from 11am to close, guests can enjoy pitchers of seasonal Orchard Sangria -- made with Napa Valley white wine, apples and pears -- for $20 alongside $6 lounge items such as Steamed Black Mussels with prosciutto, basil, white wine, Lamb Kafta Cigars with tzatziki and three olive tapenade, and Truffle Pizza with caramelized onions.
- California Cafe Palo Alto hosts its second annual Wine Faire on Saturday September 24 from 1 - 7 pm, where oenophiles can taste unlimited 2oz pours from over a dozen California wineries sample passed hors d'oeuvres, and view a live cooking demo by Executive Chef Mark Pettyjohn.
