TE Connectivity to donate $100K in scholarship funds to the Society of Women Engineers at annual conference in Austin

SCHAFFHAUSEN, Switzerland, Oct. 26, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- TE Connectivity Ltd. (NYSE: TEL) (TE), a world leader in connectivity and sensors, will make a $100K contribution to the Society of Women Engineers (SWE) to provide scholarships for women and girls pursuing engineering degrees. TE Connectivity CEO Terrence Curtin will announce the donation during WE17, SWE's conference in Austin, Texas which takes place October 26-28.

SWE's mission is to stimulate women to achieve their full potential as engineers and leaders, demonstrate the value of diversity, and expand the image of the engineering profession as a positive force in improving quality of life. As a Corporate Partnership Council member and conference sponsor, TE advances the mission of SWE by providing consultation with the society's leadership, sharing insight in industry trends and development, and supplying financial support for innovative projects and the operations and infrastructure of the society.
