Effective December 2nd, 2013, the MEF-CECP 2.0 exam will cover key components including the E-Access service, detailed Service OAM functionality, standardized Classes of Service and resiliency performance metrics. The revised exam is a superset of the original exam and will test candidates' understanding of Carrier Ethernet as well as their mastery of the new CE 2.0 material.
The MEF-CECP 2.0 (MEF Carrier Ethernet Certified Professional) is the industry's first vendor-neutral certification. It affirms that the professionals who pass this rigorous certification have acquired the key competency and skills to design, market, deploy and support Carrier Ethernet equipment, networks, and services.
"Learning has never just happened in courses, but there are more places than ever for our end-users to learn," stated George Churchwell, Co-Founder of Tech 2000, "Tech 2000's use of mobile and LRS technology allows our educational platforms to follow our students, rather than expecting them to come to us. We focus our training on WCIDWT (What can I do with that?). If I have that knowledge or skill, what will I be able to do, that I couldn't before? Our customers, and our customer's customers are carrying all the information in the world around in their pockets – they don't need to learn more, they need to be able to do more." In celebration of the new MEF-CECP 2.0 certification announcement, Tech 2000 is offering all existing MEF-CECP's who have already obtained their MEF-CECP 1.0 certification a one-day instructor led "bridge course" that is CE 2.0 specific. The bundle will include an updated MEF Essentials coursebook, a free exam voucher, and access to prescriptive assessments.
