Shares in Electronic Arts Inc. rose sharply on Thursday, extending their gains from previous trading sessions. The company's shares ended the day 1.93% higher at $22.21 after oscillating between $21.94 and $22.59. Shares in VMware Inc. ended slightly higher on Thursday as the broader market rose for a third successive trading session. The company's shares hit an intraday high of $68.30 before closing the day 0.67% higher at $67.65. A total of 1.28 million shares were traded which is less than the daily average volume of 2.68 million. VMware's shares have gained 2.61% in the last three trading sessions. International Rectifier Corporation's stock edged higher on Thursday, extending its gains from previous trading sessions.
