Techweek Los Angeles Celebrates Technology With Two-Day Conference and Expo
Development, Gaming, Finance, Fashion and Technology Come Together Nov. 21-22 in Santa Monica
LOS ANGELES, Nov. 20, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Techweek Los Angeles, the conference dedicated to showcasing the innovation ecosystem in Los Angeles and along the west coast, will take place on Thursday, Nov. 21 and Friday, Nov. 22 from noon to 5 p.m. at L3 in Santa Monica Place. Techweek Los Angeles celebrates the technology landscape with a variety of panels and events focused on the wide array of industries influenced by technology including gaming, finance, fashion and more. LAUNCH Competition - Pre-qualified startups will compete for over $50,000 in cash and sponsor-donated gifts. The competing companies will be on display from noon-4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 21 at the expo. At 5 p.m. the top five startups will pitch on stage in front of the judging panel: Chirag Chotalia, Vice President of Pritzker Group Venture Capital; Greg Bettinelli, Investor at Upfront Ventures; Jason Finger, Co-founder of Seamless; Rick Smith, Co-founder of CrossCut Ventures.
Hiring Fair - Techweek Los Angeles will host a hiring fair on Friday, Nov. 22 from noon-5 p.m. where HR representatives and hiring managers from a variety of tech companies will be looking for developers, data analysts, UI/UX designers and more. Companies represented range from startups to established tech brands, business service providers, law firms, business credit solutions, and recruiting firms. Attendees with resumes in-hand will receive a free pass to attend Techweek LA's Hiring Fair and Expo where they will have the opportunity to network with companies and recruiting agencies looking to hire.
FashionTECH Runway Show – Concluding the conference and expo is the FashionTECH Runway Show on Friday, Nov. 22 at 6 p.m. which combines the best elements of fashion and technology for an unforgettable evening experience. Models don the apparel of emerging online retailers and local boutiques while strutting down the runway to showcase the fashions to Techweek goers. Brands participating in the fashion show include: Crated, FreshNeck, JOOR, JustFab, Shoedazzle, VoyVoy, and Zappos.
Speakers and Panels - Techweek Los Angeles features six different summits focusing on the different trends, forecasts and best practices within the technology industry including: FashionTECH, Finance 2.0, Future of Media, Startup, Gaming and Development.
