Tegile Systems - Product of the Year Finalist for TechTarget's Enterprise All-Flash Systems: 2014

IntelliFlash T3800 up against Storage Giants

Jan 12, 2015, 08:35 ET from Tegile Systems

NEWARK, Calif., Jan. 12, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Tegile Systems, the leading provider of flash-driven storage arrays for databases, virtualized server and virtual desktop environments, announced today it has been chosen as a finalist for TechTarget's Product of the Year in the enterprise all-flash systems category. TechTarget Storage Media Group, a highly-acclaimed technical information provider to an audience of storage-buying IT pros, described the category as: "All-flash systems have become a common sight in the storage landscape, and we have nine finalists in the enterprise all-flash storage systems category for the Storage magazine/SearchStorage.com 2014 Products of the Year award. The finalists are mostly arrays built from the ground up for flash, with a couple of legacy arrays re-tooled for solid-state."

Tegile's IntelliFlash™ T3800 was recognized as scaling to 48 TB of MLC SSDs in one box, and to 336 TB with expansion shelves. It includes always-on data reduction technologies like deduplication and compression, along with thin provisioning, snapshots, remote replication and application-aware provisioning.

Tegile's T3800, T3600 and T3700 all-flash arrays can serve as standalone units within a flash-driven architecture or can be deployed in front of any legacy storage that still has considerable service life to boost performance while deferring replacement of existing equipment. These Tegile all-flash arrays put IT leaders in a position to standardize high-performance and high-capacity storage infrastructure on Tegile's IntelliFlash architecture.

According to Rob Commins, Tegile VP of Marketing, "We are proud to be a finalist in a category with several veteran and entrenched products from vendors such as EMC, HP, IBM, NetApp, but we believe our all-flash arrays are better positioned to serve organizations by offering a wider range of products, allowing more users to start their flash journey."
