Trading on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange in the last trading week of 2015 was marked by price rises in all the leading share indices; further offerings in the stock and bond markets

TA-25 index
The TA-25 index increased 0.6% over the last week and increased 4.2% since the beginning of the year, after an increase of 10.2% for the whole of 2014.

TA-100 index
The TA-100 index increased 0.5% over the last week and increased 2.0% since the beginning of the year, after an increase of 6.7% for the whole of 2014.

Share Offerings
This week there were three offerings on the TASE to the public amounting to US$ 190 million. Most of the amount, US$ 176 million, was raised by the real estate company "Gazit Globe", whose shares are traded also on the NYSE.

Since the beginning of the year, the business sector raised US$ 1.4 billion through shares on the TASE.

Corporate Bonds This week there were three bond offerings to the public on the TASE by real estate companies amounting to US$ 193 million. Most of the amount, US$ 132 million, was raised by the real estate company "Property & Building".

Since the beginning of the year, the business sector raised US$ 14.7 billion through bonds on the TASE.

Government Bonds
The Ministry of Finance (MoF) did not make a bond offering this week.
Since the beginning of the year, the MoF raised a total of US$ 10 billion in bond offerings on the TASE.

BOI Interest Rate
The Bank of Israel left the interest rate unchanged at 0.1% for January 2016.

Macro-Economic Forecast – Bank of Israel
The Bank of Israel revised its macro-economic forecast for the Israeli economy, according to which GDP is expected to grow by 2.8% in 2016 and 3.1% in 2017.

The rate of inflation expected for 2016 is 0.6%; the interest rate will remain unchanged at 0.1% for the first three quarters of the year, and then will begin to increase gradually.
