Tellabs SmartCore 9100 Platform to Support Clearwire for 4G WiMAX in Spain

NAPERVILLE, Ill., March 24 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Clearwire selected the Tellabs® SmartCore 9100 platform to deploy 4G services throughout Spain. Clearwire turned to Tellabs to leverage its best-of-breed ASN Gateway solution, ensuring an open network architecture with industry leading performance and intelligence.

Clearwire already uses the Tellabs 9100 SmartCore ASN Gateway (formerly the WiChorus SmartCore platform) in the United States. When the company decided to expand its services in Europe, its choice was clear.
