They are wonderful people crafting extraordinary wines from unique vineyards. As a wine family, we understand the work and commitment of the Domaine owners. The Domaine owners in turn appreciate our understanding of their farming and winemaking. We also have a history of taking the very long view, creating relationships which have spanned generations. Creating relationships with Burgundian Domaine owners is just an extension of the approach we have successfully utilized for over 70 years now."
Over the last decade of visiting Burgundy, John Terlato has developed friendships with many renowned Burgundian winemaking families, and from these friendships and relationships came a carefully curated portfolio of 14 producers. The Domaines within the CRU portfolio, including those recently added, are generally producing wines in small quantities, and as such, are largely allocated to on-premise accounts.
