TestingMom.com Partners With @HOPEorgNYC, Non-Profit Organization Tutoring Underprivileged Children For NYC's Gifted And Talented Test
NEW YORK, Oct. 5, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- TestingMom.com, the premier on-line based service providing parents practice questions and expertise to help their child prepare for Gifted and Talented testing and private school admissions testing, has partnered with the newly created, @HOPEorgNYC non-profit organization, offering free tutoring for underprivileged children in NYC for the G&T test. TestingMom.com co-founders Karen Quinn and Michael McCurdy, and Jill Goldstein, Founder of @HOPEorgNYC, made the announcement jointly today.
TestingMom.com, established in 2010, is offering their extensive inventory of original online test prep materials for concepts based upon commonly-used intelligence tests – including the NNAT-2 test and OLSAT test – to @HOPEorgNYC, which will help underprivileged children in NYC have their chance at passing the G&T test.
Jill Goldstein states, "We are excited about this partnership. @HOPEorgNYC's mission is to lessen the socio-economic divide within NYC's G&T program. With TestingMom.com's exceptional materials and guidance, the children in our program have a much higher chance of acing the test."
Karen Quinn and Michael McCurdy add, "Partnering with @HOPEorgNYC is a perfect match for us. We have been looking to create a non-profit arm for TestingMom.com for quite a while now. It's a shame our education system places so much emphasis on testing. But when testing determines a child's school placement, not all children have the same opportunities as others. We are excited our materials and services can help those children who haven't previously been exposed to the opportunities that they have within the NYC public school system."
