The Barnett Capital Group Launches Its Corporate Social Responsibility Program to Benefit Infants and Children
MIAMI and CARACAS, Venezuela, Nov. 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Marking the celebration of the 50th anniversary of the foundation of the Voluntary Dividend for the Community (DVC, for its acronym in Spanish), the Barnett Capital Group launched its own Corporate Social Responsibility Program by becoming one of the major sponsors of a benefit Golf Tournament, which was successfully held at the Valle Arriba Golf Club in Caracas, Venezuela, on Tuesday, 4 November 2014.
Seeking to invest on social programs on nutrition, psychology, health and education with positive impact on less favored communities through reliable implementing agencies, the Barnett Capital Group chose to become an integral part of this sporting event that gathered more than 70 professional and amateur golf players, all united for one cause: children.
Since the early hours of the morning, players started to compete in many different categories and at the end of the day they were all given trophies and medals to reward not only their performance at the driving range, but also their solidarity, as all proceeds will go to benefit the DVC Social Programs, most of them dedicated to children aged 0-6 years.
The award ceremony was chaired by DVC Pres. Ramon Sosa, who offered kind words of thanks to all sponsors, attendees and participants for their assistance and emphasized on the importance of supporting actions that benefit the most vulnerable sectors of society.
The Barnett Capital Group believes -- in line with the DVC's mission -- that social programs should contribute to the formation of cognitive, social and emotional systems and to promoting child education, contributing to the development of the potential of those individuals so they can become fully developed adults.
