The Berry Company Expands Its Ability to Deliver Digital Solutions Through Two Major Alliances
DENVER, Jan. 28 /PRNewswire/ -- The Berry Company LLC ("Berry"), a leading local search services provider for small and medium-sized businesses, announced today that its indirect parent, Local Insight Media Holdings, Inc., has entered into contracts with Yodle, Inc. and Web.com Group Inc., two prominent providers of website development and search engine marketing services. These new alliances will enable Berry to expand its suite of digital products, expedite fulfillment and enhance measurability for its business clients across its U.S. footprint.
These alliances support Berry's strategy to expand its legacy role from a print yellow pages publisher to an integrated provider of print and digital local search services. "Our goal is to ensure that our small and medium-sized business clients are generating local leads from the multiple sources and platforms that today's consumers use," said Scott Pomeroy , president and CEO of Berry. "We believe that Web.com and Yodle will bring best-in-class products, fulfillment and digital expertise to our clients, complementing our client-focused approach."
Berry plans to introduce its new local search "agency" model, called BerryLeads(SM), on a market-by-market basis over the course of 2010. BerryLeads is designed to help local businesses simplify the process of creating a local search campaign, with solutions that are effective, affordable and measurable.
Delivered in partnership with Web.com, Yodle, YELLOWPAGES.com™, Google™, 3L Media, Salesforce.com® and others, Berry's client services team will sell and service an integrated local search solutions set, which includes print directories, Internet Yellow Pages, web sites, search engine marketing and optimization and video.
"We want our clients to benefit from all of the local search usage in its many forms – in print and online – at home, in the office and on-the-go," said Pomeroy. "Our strategy focuses on leveraging the strong relationships we have with our clients and transforming our sales and marketing approach. We are looking to best-in-class companies to provide product, technology and production far more effectively and efficiently than we can internally," said Pomeroy.
