The Beverly Hills Art Show, Affaire In The Gardens
250 Artists - Fields of Fine Art
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., Oct. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- The Beverly Hills Art Show, Affaire In The Gardens, is coming up! Held along four blocks of Beverly Gardens Park, and produced by the City of Beverly Hills, the show will take place during the 3rd weekend of October, on Saturday and Sunday, the 16th and 17th, from 10 am to 5 pm. It's fun, it's free, and it's full of fine art.
This drop-in event includes an outdoor dining quarter, a wine & fine ale garden, live jazz, Latin, and traditional band sounds, as well as many visual art demonstrations and art projects for the family. However, the emphasis of the show is always on the finest art available in an outdoor fair setting. All of it is available for purchase, or just for enjoying.
At this show, we also emphasize Production! – via our demonstrating artists. They say stocks, employment, productivity, and even confidence are down, but these artists from throughout country are still prolific. 250 artists representing 10 categories of fine art and craft spread out along the four-block garden expanse. Ten artists will demonstrate their art-making prowess throughout the weekend, including large scale portrait production in various media, from stone to cardboard to metal screws; jewelry coppersmithing; and portrait painting from live models. As well, the 250 show artists personally represent, and can discuss with you, their original work in the following categories: Painting, Sculpture, Photography, Drawing and Printmaking, Ceramics and Glass, Digital Art, and Mixed Media.
A number of local eateries, along with Los Angeles caterer Premiere Events in the Wine & Fine Ale Garden, provide the many casual dining options. And the wildly popular Grilled Cheese Truck returns on Saturday.
Our Wine & Fine Ale Garden will feature more produce from California including beverages from California breweries and wineries, accompanied by hearty October starter snacks as well as light entrees. Two autumn-appropriate California beers, one from the Firestone Brewery of Central California, and one from the Northern California Brewery, Ballast, will be served. They are being provided by Brian Lenzo of Hollywood Boulevard's Blue Palm Brewhouse. He will be available at the wine garden to talk about great beer and how it's brewed.
The Beverly Hills "Affaire" has taken place for thirty-seven years along four blocks of historic Beverly Gardens Parkway, between Rodeo and Rexford Drives, in the center of Beverly Hills. Artists from around the nation exhibit alongside local Los Angeles talent. As many as 50,000 visitors attend throughout the weekend, and Southern California art dealers regularly drop by to seek out new art and artists. Celebrities are often spotted as well, strolling through the gardens and striking art bargains. Meet the artists, meet your friends, join the fun.
The Art Show, produced by the City, is also sponsored by the Beverly Hills Courier, Mark Wollman of Hilton and Hyland Real Estate in Beverly Hills, and the Children's Hospital Los Angeles. For sponsorship opportunities, contact Robert Nieto, [email protected], or call 310.717.6784.
