The Collection Auto Group And Johnny Manziel Team Up For Students To Win Scholarship Money For College
October Challenges Will Be Held at Football Games at Hudson, Avon, and Fairview High Schools
CLEVELAND, Oct. 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Collection Auto Group, the largest dealer of luxury vehicles in Ohio, and nationally-recognized Cleveland athlete Johnny Manziel are inviting high school students to take the "Throw Like Johnny" Challenge. The next contest will take place Friday, October 17th at 7pm at Hudson High School, located at 2500 Hudson Aurora Road in Hudson.
"Not only is this challenge a lot of fun for kids to try and throw a football through a car window like Johnny did in the Nissan car commercial, but it's also a really great way for high school students to get a chance to win some money for college," said Bernie Moreno, president of The Collection Auto Group. "With increasing college expenses, we're happy to help lessen the financial burden, and every little bit helps."
The "Throw Like Johnny" Challenge will give 50 high school students from each football game (100 students in total) a shot of winning a $1,000 college scholarship on behalf of Johnny Manziel and The Collection Auto Group. Each contestant will get two chances to throw a football through the window of a 2014 Nissan Altima. A successful "pass" earns the student a chance to win a $1,000 college scholarship.
Schools and football games scheduled to participate include the following:
October 17, 2014 – Strongsville @ Hudson at 7pm
October 24, 2014 – Olmsted Falls @ Avon at 7pm
October 31, 2014 – Lutheran West @ Fairview at 7pm
