"The Dr. Oz Show" Names Dr. Jennifer Ashton Their First Ever Chief Women's Health Contributor

"The Dr. Oz Show" continues to facilitate and bring to the forefront current issues and topics on women's health while delivering informative, life-changing tips in a fun and entertaining format. Now in its eighth season, the show plans on unveiling statistics and findings that take a unique in-depth look into the lives and concerns of American women, ranging from sexuality, health, relationships and the impact of new concerns in our current society.

Dr. Ashton, who is also the Chief Women's Health Correspondent for ABC News and Good Morning America, will debut on The Oz Report on Health in America: The Story of Women 2016, offering expertise on the state of women's health alongside Dr. Oz. Dr. Ashton, who is completing a Master's Degree in Nutrition at Columbia University, where she also attended medical school and is a practicing obstetrician gynecologist in Englewood, NJ with over 2,000 patients. She is one of the only women with such credentials with a national platform of her own.

A graduate of Columbia University's College of Physicians and Surgeons, where she was elected class president four consecutive years, Dr. Ashton has also served as administrative chief resident at St Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York, where she was awarded the prestigious Chief Resident of the Year Award upon completing her training. She is a triathlete, fitness enthusiast and proud hockey mom and author of three books, Your Body Beautiful, a comprehensive approach to vitality, beauty and health for women 30-50 years of age, the award-winning book, The Body Scoop for Girls: A Straight-Talk Guide to a Healthy, Beautiful You and Eat This Not That While Expecting.
