The Elizabeth Hospice Announces $1.2 Million Gift From The Courtenay C. And Lucy Patten Davis Foundation
SAN DIEGO, Feb. 14, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Elizabeth Hospice announces a $1.2 million gift from The Courtenay C. and Lucy Patten Davis Foundation. The donation will allow the non-profit organization to settle the remaining mortgage debt on its grief counseling and resource facility, known as The Center for Compassionate Care of The Elizabeth Hospice, as well as invest in unfunded and underfunded programs that support The Elizabeth Hospice's mission. In addition, an endowment in the Foundation's name will be created.

The Elizabeth Hospice cares for nearly 500 adults and children each day throughout San Diego County, and has recently expanded its services to south Riverside County.
In the last year, its Center for Compassionate Care provided bereavement counseling to nearly 1,000 individuals and supported 150 children and teens through specialized grief programs, while an additional 3,500 individuals received bereavement phone calls or support materials after their loved one's passing.
The Courtenay C. and Lucy Patten Davis Foundation is a Wyoming Non-Profit Corporation that has supported numerous causes that focus on educational scholarships and healthcare, including the creation of a hospice care center in Wyoming.
