The Ethics and Compliance Initiative Announces 2017 Annual Conference
ARLINGTON, Va., April 19, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The Ethics & Compliance Initiative (ECI), America's oldest ethics research and membership association has announced its 2017 Annual Conference, which is set to take place during April 24th – 26th, 2017 at the Marriot Marquis in Washington, DC. In order to support High Quality Programs, the ECI's 2017 Annual Conference showcases forward-thinking practitioners, vendors, and innovations that can raise the bar for Ethics & Compliance (E&C) in organizations through an agenda that blends inspirational keynotes and highly informative and practical breakout sessions. Featured speakers will include globally recognized authors, five former US Deputy Attorneys General, and the sitting US Attorney General, Jeff Sessions.
At its very core, the ECI is dedicated to engaging with stakeholders who influence their members and the ethics and compliance landscape, the most prominent of these being the Department of Justice. With the recent shift in administrations, the time is opportune for the ECI and the leader of the DOJ to formally engage in dialogue with the intent of both parties introducing each other and partaking in productive conversation surrounding the compliance environment. This will allow ethics and compliance leaders to understand for the first time the AG's priorities, and in turn, provide him the opportunity to understand the dedication ECI's members share regarding high quality ethics and compliance programs.
"As E&C leaders, we recognize the importance of not only building strong internal programs, but also the value of ensuring that stakeholders outside of our organization understand how and why we do what we do," said Patricia Harned, CEO of the Ethics and Compliance Initiative. "That's why we are honored to have an opportunity at this conference to not only showcase innovative practices to our peers; we are pleased to have an opportunity to promote meaningful conversation with leaders in the enforcement community."
Both the ECI and AG Sessions look forward to focusing on their common goal of promoting integrity in organizations and addressing some of the significant challenges that concern the compliance community.
