SAN FRANCISCO, May 3, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Findables, the company that uses creative technology to make cool and practical products, today announced it has expanded its retail presence in the US to include more than 1,100 Office Depot stores nationwide. Starting immediately Office Depot is stocking the Findables one-piece snap case for iPhone 5 that not only protects the phone but also comes with the ability to share existing social and business profiles with a simple scan of a unique QR code built into every Findables case.
The free mobile app that comes with the case (available for Android and iOS) allows the user to link to existing social networking profiles including Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter, and control how much information they wish to share. By switching to the Lost mode, a misplaced phone can easily be found, even if the battery runs out.
The Findables Snap Case for iPhone 5 is designed to both look good and protect the phone. It comes in seven fashionable two-toned colors, combining a polycarbonate hard shell with a soft-touch finish. Findables Snap Case retails for $29.95 and is currently available from Office Depot (US), The Source (Canada), Amazon.com, BestBuy.com, NewEgg.com, Gamestop.com, Sears.com, with more retailers expected in 2013.
Findables was founded by Andre Liao and Derick Yee in October 2011 after realizing that smart phone and tablet cases could become more valuable by doing more than simply protecting the device from physical damage. By building technology directly into the cases they created a line of products that enable users to connect to friends, share with colleagues, and recover missing phones. Findables cases can be found in over 2,000 retail stores in North America and purchased through online retailers worldwide.
