The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) Introduces the 2015 Monterey Bay Man & Woman of the Year Candidates
Nine Individuals and Corporate Teams Compete to Raise Funds for Blood Cancer Research
MONTEREY BAY, Calif., March 11, 2015 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society's (LLS) Northern California Chapter officially launched its 2015 Monterey Bay Man & Woman of the Year fundraising campaign on March 5, 2015 at its Kickoff Party at the Monterey Plaza Hotel & Spa. This year the Monterey Bay campaign has enlisted nine influential individuals and compassionate corporate teams to compete to raise funds for blood cancer research and cures.
The Man & Woman of the Year campaign is an annual 10-week fundraising competition between community leaders united by one goal, to use their leadership skills to raise funds to help blood cancer patients live longer and more fulfilling lives. The nine candidates are competing in honor of the 2015 Monterey Bay Boy & Girl of the Year CJ and Syree, respectively, who are both local blood cancer patients. Every dollar counts as one vote and the titles are awarded to the man and woman with the most votes at the end of the campaign.
