The Meemic Foundation Hosts Student Video Contest to Launch "The Together Movement"
Inspiring Video Contest Encourages Students to Bring Awareness to Bullying
AUBURN HILLS, Mich., Feb. 9, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Bullying, intolerance and disrespect are still prominent problems that occur in our education system every day. To help combat the negativity, and continue to raise awareness, the Meemic Foundation is establishing "The Together Movement", a student video contest and grant opportunity where students are invited to create an inspiring video addressing the idea of being better together.
The Student Video Contest and Grant Opportunity is centered on three themes:
- Bullying Prevention
- Being Kind
- Embracing Differences
For more information on how to submit a video, to review the rules and guidelines, and to fill out an application visit MeemicFoundation.org/VideoContest. The deadline to participate is March 15.
"Bringing educators and students together to prevent bullying, spread kindness and embrace differences is something that we've always been passionate about," stated Pamela Harlin, spokesperson for the Meemic Foundation. "We're so excited to see what the students come up with while also giving back to our education system."
Each video submitted in the Together Movement contest will be uploaded to the Meemic Foundation's social media page where public voting will be held beginning March 20. Up to 60 winners will be selected and rewarded with a $300 grant for the sponsoring Foundation Club Member's school and an Amazon Fire® HD Tablet for the student. The winning videos will be announced on May 5.
