The Meemic Foundation Reminds Educators to Apply for Grants Prior to June 30 Deadline
Traditional Grants and Back-to-School Grants Available Through June 30
AUBURN HILLS, Mich., June 23, 2016 /PRNewswire/ --The Meemic Foundation, a non-profit organization created by Meemic Insurance Company, is reminding educators to apply for grants before the deadline of June 30. Educators are able to apply for a Quill.com Back-to-School grant, in partnership with The Meemic Foundation, or a traditional grant, through which recipients can be awarded up to $500 for classroom programs.
Back-to-School grants are available across Mich., Wis., and Ill. and offer 1,500 teachers up to $100 to use to purchase back to school supplies through Quill.com. Annually, teachers spend a sufficient amount of their own salaries to finance simple school supplies for classrooms such as pencils and markers. Meemic understands the burden that teachers face in these situations and welcome the opportunity to give back to the educational community in this manner.
Until June 30, The Meemic Foundation is also welcoming applications for traditional, quarterly grants through which applicants can receive up to $500 for various educational programs. These grants can be utilized for arts, field trips, classroom projects, special needs or technology, to list a few.
"Over the years, The Meemic Foundation has had the pleasure of providing funding to some of the most creative and passionate teachers in the world," said Pamela Harlin, spokesperson for Meemic. "We want to encourage all members of our educational community to apply for a grant before the deadline to assist with their classroom needs."
In order to access these grant opportunities, educators must first sign up for the free Foundation Club, which also provides free workshops, discount offers and exclusive grant opportunities throughout the year. For more information, please visit www.MeemicFoundation.org.
