BROOMFIELD, Colo., Nov. 5, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Level 3 Communications, Inc. (NYSE: LVLT) today announced that the Nemours Foundation, a children's health organization based in Jacksonville, Fla., has selected Level 3 to support its rising bandwidth needs and to help enable and support the operation of its advanced medical record system. Nemours owns and operates the Nemours/Alfred I. duPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Del., and has recently opened the Nemours Children's Hospital in Orlando, Fla. "We demand not only exceptionally secure and reliable network services, but also a trusted partnership with the team on the ground that manages our services and supports us. Level 3 was the clear choice for us and the important work we are doing."
"More than ever, healthcare organizations need a trusted network provider to enable seamless access to critical patient information and medical data," said Andrew Crouch, Level 3 regional president of North America.
