The Nuttery to Develop the Iconic Game Galaga Into Animated Series
SAN DIEGO, July 22, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- The legendary game Galaga is finally getting an origin story. Swedish and Los Angeles-based producer The Nuttery Entertainment have entered into an exclusive option agreement with BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment to usher the 35-year-old arcade gaming classic into the world of animation.
The Nuttery is creating a unique animated brand extension of Galaga entitled 'Galaga Chronicles' that is intended to encompass an animated series as well as a complete licensing & merchandising program around it. To help bring the 8-bit universe into hi-def, The Nuttery will use its Los Angeles-based team and in partnership with acclaimed Hollywood writers and producers.

Galaga Chronicles is planned for a multi-tiered approach across new and established media platforms. The Nuttery is creating a new meta Universe for Galaga that will re-imagine the brand based on the existing lore together with all new characters and storylines.
