The Princess Project San Francisco hosts annual Flashback Fundraiser: "#90sHomecoming"
SAN FRANCISCO, Oct. 7, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Revisit the '90s, when P.Diddy was still Puff Daddy and tattoo chokers were all the rage. The Princess Project, a 100% volunteer, non-profit organization that provides prom dresses to Bay Area teens in need, is hosting its annual Flashback Fundraiser "#90sHomecoming" on Nov. 8, 2014 at The Hall (1028 Market St.) in San Francisco.
#90sHomecoming is a semi-formal affair that prompts guests to dig out their scrunchies, slap bracelets and Fila sneakers for an evening of dancing, celebration and fun. A silent auction will feature local goodies including beauty products, haircut/styling sessions, museum tours, and more. The auction's highest donors will be crowned Homecoming King and Queen!
The Princess Project's annual fundraiser enables the San Francisco-based organization to buy fringe size dresses and accessories for the more than 2,000 teens served each March. In the past eight years, the organization has helped over 10,000 girls.
Early bird ticket sales run through October 15 and are available at 90shomecoming.eventbrite.com. The event is 21 and over with three ticket options ranging from $70-$100. Tickets will also be available at the door the night of the event. All proceeds will be used to buy fringe-sized dresses.
About The Princess Project San Francisco
The Princess Project promotes self-confidence and individual beauty by providing free prom dresses and accessories to high school teens who cannot otherwise afford them. Our effort is made possible through invaluable volunteer, donor, and community support. The organization began in February 2002 when founders Laney Whitcanack and Kristi Smith Knutson offered to help a girl who needed a prom dress. Within days, women from all over the San Francisco Bay offered support through donations of their time, talent, and taffeta.
