The Reconstruction of Chyna: Kickstarter Campaign will Chronicle Former WWE Star Chyna's Return to the U.S.

After all, her rise and fall are familiar to most Americans: Dubbed the "Ninth Wonder of the World" for her dominance in the WWE pro wrestling ring (Andre the Giant had already laid claim to the title of eighth wonder), Chyna went from two-time WWF Intercontinental Champion and darling of the WWE to starring in various reality television and internet shows.

But what many don't know is that her story didn't end there.

Chyna quietly went on to earn her Master's degree in education and moved to Japan to teach English. Over the next several years, she regained her health and put her demons behind her. Today, armed with hard-won perspective and a startling honesty, Chyna is ready to return to her home country -- and award-winning director, cinematographer and film editor Erik Angra is set to film Chyna's odyssey as she makes amends, looks for reconciliation and redemption among family, friends, fans and haters, and seeks to claim her place in the WWE Hall of Fame.

Angra's upcoming documentary is titled "The Reconstruction of Chyna." With the help of WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley, Chyna is asking fans to participate in the film via a new Kickstarter campaign.

Every dollar raised through Kickstarter will help fund filming of "The Reconstruction of Chyna," which Angra anticipates will appeal to any woman who, like Chyna, has ever bucked cultural norms to shatter the glass ceiling. Angra, his crew, and Chyna have all declined to draw salaries, and all living expenses on the cross-country journey are being donated by private supporters.
