The Research & Development Council of New Jersey Announces the Winners of the 2013 Thomas Edison Patent Awards
Dr. Hossein Eslambolchi, Chairman and CEO of Cyberflow Analytics, received the Edison award for invention that allows people to make charitable donations via text message
CHATHAM, N.J., Sept. 24, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- AT&T Inventor Hossein Eslambolchi received a Thomas Edison Patent Award for his invention (U.S Patent 7,715,368) that allows individuals to make charitable donations via text message. This technology enables a network to identify a particular charity, provide the designated funding to that charity, and then have the network service provider bill the original donor on his/her monthly bill. Dr. Eslambolchi is the only individual to have won the award twice and has the distinction of being the world's lead patent holder with over 1,000 patents, patents pending and patents in preparation.
Dr. Eslambolchi is Chairman and CEO of Cyberflow Analytics, a next generation cyber security company, which he declares is "turning the traditional security model on its head and paving the way for next generation Anomalytics (using analytics to solve some of the most challenging security issues facing corporations today)."
Recognized worldwide as a telecommunications visionary and thought leader, Dr. Eslambolchi provides consulting to private equity firms, telecommunications service providers, enterprise customers, venture capitalists, and start-ups in the areas including business transformation, content distribution, and wireless technology and IP communications.
From 1986 to 2006, Dr. Eslambolchi maintained executive status at AT&T Communications under several titles including Global AT&T CTO and CIO, as well as President and CEO of both AT&T Labs and AT&T Global Network Services. He tenure cultivated expertise in the management, engineering, and development of worldwide data centers and SDN-based services. During this time, he executed a comprehensive four-stage strategy that included Enterprise Customer Service, Network, Services and Cultural Transformation. Implimentation of his approach essentially overhauled and remodeled the company such that SBC dubbed it the "new" AT&T. Business Week referred Dr. Eslambolchi as a "bold, but pragmatic visionary" and "a critical player in maintaining AT&T's status as a technology leader."
"I am very excited to receive this award; to be the only individual recognized [for this award] twice is something that I will honor deeply for the rest of my life. I cannot thank the Research and Development Council of New Jersey enough for this great honor," responded Dr. Hossein Eslambolchi.
